HERE ARE SOME OF THE AREAS WHERE HELP IS MOST NEEDED
ORIENTATION AND TRAINING IS HELD TWICE A YEAR
OFFICE WIZARDS
We always need people with with creativity and other talents to help us with special projects and even office duties. We have Flexible hours and good atmosphere to work in.
CHILDREN'S ADVOCATES
From babysitters and game leaders to huggers and rockers, helping children understanding that they are special and that love doesn't have to hurt is important to the crisis center. We have flexible hours that will reward you with smiles and children's laughter.
SHELTER WORKERS
Whether its sorting donations, providing transportation, or just being there for someone volunteers are always needed. As a volunteer you have flexible hours and all the cookies and coffee you want.
HOTLINE WORKERS
People to work at home to provide important "first response" to crisis callers are needed. Completion of a 15 hour training course is necessary. Flexible hours that you decide on.
SHELTER ADVOCATES
Get Involved! Be there to meet with victims of abuse or sexual assault. Provide them with support and understanding that only a trained advocate would have. Completion of a 15 hour training course is necessary. Flexible hours.
COMMITTEE OFFICIALS
Leaders and doers, help brainstorm and enjoy the challenge of forming and belonging to committees and boards.
SPEAKERS/EDUCATORS
Help educate our community and join in getting the word out about domestic violence and sexual assualt by giving presentations to audiences of all ages.
BOOTH VOLUNTEERS
Fun way to work! Enjoy meeting people along with getting the word out about Crisis Center services. Two great things to do at the same time!
